The 'Hebe Haven Sailability Trust' (HHST) was formed in 2010 by members of the Hebe Haven Yacht Club and is based in Pak Sha Wan, Sai Kung. The objectives of the Trust are to provide the facilities and expertise for a water based experience for Hong Kong persons with a disability who would not otherwise have the opportunity. For some, this may present the opportunity to join a structured course and actually learn to sail.
Our 'Trust' is non-profit making and all our funds for this project come from our generous sponsors who include corporations, other charities and individuals.
We are an officially registered member of the "Sailability World" organization in Australia, recognized for their work in introducing sailing programs for persons with a disability amongst some 160 sailability organisations worldwide.
Utilizing the new specially designed "Access Dinghies" (the Access 2.3 dinghy is pictured here),
which is an official class in the Paralympics for dinghies, we hope that in the not too distant future Hong Kong can achieve national representation in this class at the event. At the present time we offer structured sailing and racing courses.
Our program is open to anyone with residence in Hong Kong. For enquiries on how our program may benefit you or others in your care contact us
